Class Schedule: Beginning Thursday, 6th for 5 weeks. 11am-2pm
This beginner’s class is perfect for new sewers to make a beautiful quilt while learning the basic techniques for making a completed quilt. Marnet will guide you through this 5-week class so you can quickly build up your skill set; yet it’s flexible enough to allow plenty of creative freedom. The overall quilt design includes a series of techniques to create your quilt blocks and is perfect if you are a first-time quilter or an experienced beginner. At the end of your five classes, you will have a beautiful quilt! The final class will be held March 13.
Requirements
Sewing machine in good working condition. This class assumes you have a basic knowledge of your sewing machine, including how to thread your machine and how to wind your bobbin.
1–2 pre-wound bobbins
1/4” presser foot of your choice
Walking foot for your machine (this is not necessary for your first class)
Thread –-neutral colored 100% cotton for piecing
Rotary Cutter with a sharp blade.
Rotary Cutting mat – at least 18” x 24”
Rulers:
- 5-inch strip ruler (at least 12 inches long)
- 5-inch ruler (at least 12 inches long)
- 6 X 24 to cut long strips
- 6 1/2” square ruler with a 45-degree line that passes from corner to corner to trim blocks. 8 ½” and 9” squares are also acceptable with 45-degree line that passes from corner to corner.
Scissors: Fabric scissors and small snips to cut thread

7 Ziploc plastic bags (quart size is recommended) to store cut block pieceS
