Class Fee: $135 – includes a fabric kit to complete your quilt top.

About the Class:

Learn the essentials of quilting while creating a beautiful throw size quilt!  This beginner-friendly course will guide you through the fundamentals of quilting—from selecting fabrics to finishing your very own throw size quilt.  Students will learn essential techniques, including cutting, piecing, pressing, quilting, and binding.

What You’ll Learn:

   Fabric selection—choosing colors and prints that work together

   How to properly use quilting tools: rotary cutter, rulers, and mats

   How to read a pattern and understanding acronyms

   Cutting fabric and accurate piecing techniques

   Assembling quilt blocks and pressing for precision

   Quilt top assembly

   Basic quilting techniques (stitching layers together)

   Binding and finishing touches

Required

Sewing machine in good working condition. This class assumes you have a basic knowledge of your sewing machine, including how to thread your machine and how to wind your bobbin.

By the end of the class, you’ll have a completed throw size quilt and the confidence to start your next quilting project!
